A tender ode to the matriarch. A loving verse, a kind word. The mother figure is celebrated and deified, an unbeatable, incorruptible form providing solace and support, tea spillage and use of the word “pantaloons” not withstanding. She doesn’t even mind the Hispanic section, or the rather loud guitars. But why oh why did she “gum” a “weapon?” What does it even mean?
